Ambulance service moves the goalposts

AmbulanceWhat do you do when you’re regularly failing to meet targets? Well you scrap them of course!

The South West Ambulance Service Trust has decided it will no longer operate an eight-minute target time for its crews to attend emergencies in the Forest of Dean and other rural areas.

What it means in real terms is if you’re unlucky enough not to live in a town or city in the south west you now have a greater chance of dying should you ever need the help of the ambulance service.

Another case of money and cost-cutting coming before the health and wellbeing of ordinary people.
